Tradition meets online – department store goes online

In August 2013, Engelhorn’s online shop was launched on the Salesforce Commerce Cloud platform and Engelhorn took over the shop management in-house. More than 100,000 sports and fashion products are online for sale. Data management processes have been newly defined to distribute the product information at the right time in the right place. Sophisticated merchandising functions have been implemented which provide accurate personalisation among the huge variety of products.

Perfect combinations: Mix&Match

Optimised navigation and search help customers to find individual combinations of items. New configuration functionality enables visitors to create seasonal sets – like ski, binding and suitable winter shoes or mixing and matching various pieces from collections.

Shop management for online and offline channel

Engelhorn’s strong online presence is complemented by an excellent reputation in other channels. The new platform enables management of stock across different channels. In addition, flexible pricing is enabled and the customer service has been optimized.

Easy shopping with Amazon login integration

The fashion retailer offers their clients the possibility to use their Amazon accounts to login and purchase in the Engelhorn online store. For the customer this means more flexibility and less hassle. Customers with an existing Amazon account can use it directly – without having to register separately to the Engelhorn shop.

Excellent order management system

BE EXCELLENT (part of Dept) has additionally implemented an in-house developed order management system (OMS Light) into the online shop. The OMS is also connected to Engelhorn’s Amazon Shop and the other sales channels. Service excellence throughout Engelhorn’s e-commerce landscape is reflected in more than 95% positive shop ratings.
